Are the recent developments in the Middle East impacting our supply chains or transport routes?

No, our direct supply chains and transport routes are not affected. As we source our raw materials from Europe, we are largely unaffected by supply chain disruptions in the Middle East.

Does ELSTA anticipate shortages, extended delivery times or reduced production capacity?

The risk is low for several reasons: we manufacture our goods using our own products (high degree of vertical integration/value-added depth), which makes us largely independent of external suppliers. Furthermore, we continuously ensure the supply of critical parts through dynamic inventory management. In addition, specific stockpiling measures are coordinated with our suppliers to prevent bottlenecks proactively. However, should the crisis persist for a long time, a reduced supply of petroleum-based intermediate products (SMC semi-finished products) cannot be entirely ruled out.

Is the current market situation affecting production or procurement costs?

Yes – the global price rises will also affect ELSTA. However, we are actively working to minimise the impact on our customers and will only pass on adjustments that are absolutely necessary. We will, of course, keep you informed of this in a timely and transparent manner.

What steps is ELSTA currently taking to ensure supply?

In close consultation with our suppliers, we are conducting a detailed assessment of the affected components and taking specific measures as a result – including increasing stock levels beyond the usual amount.
