ELSTA Mosdorfer produces components made of hot-pressed, glass fibre reinforced thermoset polyester with modern presses and tools, using the SMC hot pressing process.

Parts that keep the same shape permanently for the toughest jobs

SMC is a fibre-reinforced, thermoset plastic that is cured under pressure and temperature in a closed mould. Thermoset means that the shape adopted during curing can no longer be changed by subsequent temperature effects.

  • SMC compression moulded parts are used in the electrical industry, in mechanical engineering, the building industry, the transport industry, and in transport engineering and railway application.
  • Thermoset GRP components can be produced economically with quantities of 1000 pieces a year or more
  • ELSTA Mosdorfer uses 3D CAD software for the planning and design of components and compression moulding tools
  • Prototyping takes place by means of additive manufacturing and provides security of investments
